The Top 10 Best-Selling Essential Kitchen Appliances
Here is my list of the best-selling essential appliances to have in your kitchen. These are constantly in use at my home. These kitchen appliances make great presents at the holidays because not only are they high quality, but they make cooking so much easier. These appliances are great for people who are very busy but still want to provide nutritious meals for their families.
Instant Pot
My number one favorite kitchen appliance is an Instant Pot. There are so many uses for this versatile appliance. If you are asking, "What does an Instant Pot do?", here is a short list of some of its capabilities:
- Pressure Cooker
- Sterilizer
- Slow Cooker
- Rice Cooker
- Steamer
- Yogurt Maker
The list goes on and on...
I use my Instant Pot to make my Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes (which often appear on my Shepherd's Pie). I also sometimes use my Instant Pot to make my Buffalo Chicken Dip and my Hot Apple Cider. It is a great time-saving tool because it cooks meat, vegetables, soups, rice, just about anything... in a fraction of the time.
Air Fryer
An Instant Vortex Plus Air Fryer is so fun to have in the kitchen. Not only is it quick and easy to use, but it enables you to make the crispiest homemade fries, chicken, pork chops, chips... anything you want to make that is crispy - an air fryer is your best bet!
I sometimes use my air fryer to make my Healthy Fried Chicken Nuggets (follow the recipe but use the air fryer in place of the oven).
Crock-Pot
I use my Crock-Pot constantly. There is something so great about putting raw ingredients into my Crock-Pot before work and poof! Dinner is ready when the working day is done. I use my Crock-Pot in my Buffalo Chicken Dip recipe.
My favorite thing about using a Crock Pot is coming home after work, soccer practice, or a Cub Scout meeting and being able to sit down to a hearty, nutritious, and delicious home-cooked meal right away.
High Powered Blender
I use my Ninja Professional Countertop Blender when I am in the mood for a healthy smoothie, a frothy adult cocktail, or a deliciously decadent milkshake. But this appliance isn't just for making drinks!
Until I had an immersion blender in my kitchen (also on this list!), I used my Ninja blender to blend my Tomato Bisque. I also make sauces and dressings using this high powered kitchen gadget. You can also make some amazing smoothie bowls (like the one pictured below) in no time using this awesomely handy appliance!
Instant Coffee Maker
Every busy morning has to start with coffee, amirite? I always wake up and brew myself a cup of coffee using my Keurig K-Elite Coffee Maker.
My husband and I get up at different times, so it is so important to use a single-cup coffee maker on busy weekday mornings. That way, we can each enjoy a fresh, steaming cup of coffee before our busy day begins.
I love this particular model of Keurig coffee maker because it comes in three different sleek colors. It also has iced coffee capabilities, which helps when I have my mid-afternoon slump and need something to recharge my batteries.
Immersion Blender
I first had a Ninja Blender in my kitchen. Then, I received an Immersion Blender for Christmas a couple of years ago and WOW! What a great appliance to have in my kitchen. I still use my Ninja, but this Immersion Blender makes soup-making SO. MUCH. EASIER.
I use this blender when I make my Tomato Bisque. I also love using the coffee-frother attachment to make my coffee extra special.
Handheld Mixer
I LOVE my Hamilton Beach 6-Speed Electric Hand Mixer so much. I use it all the time. It is a perfect gift for someone who enjoys baking and savory cooking. It comes with beaters and a whisk. The attachments are easily stowed in a carrying case that snaps onto the mixer when not in use.
I use this hand mixer every time I make mashed potatoes. I also use it when I am making cinnamon whipped cream to top my Hot Toddy Spice Cake.
My favorite use for this hand mixer? Shredding chicken! Yes! Here's a tip: Use your hand mixer to shred chicken after it has been boiled, slow-cooked in your Crock-Pot, or pressure cooked in your Instant Pot.
Indoor Grill
If you live in a rainy or cold climate like I do, a Ninja FG551 Foodi Smart Indoor Grill is so important to have!
I use my indoor grill throughout the year. It is extra large, so I can grill up to 6 steaks or hamburgers at a time. It doesn't just grill, though!
The Ninja Foodi also can air crisp, bake, roast, broil and dehydrate! You can also control the doneness of your meat easily with its smart controls and leave-in thermometer.
Electric Kettle
My husband is English and he loves a cup of tea. When I lived in England in the early 2000's, I saw an electric kettle for the first time! I used to have a stovetop kettle that was, frankly, a pain in the behind to use.
An electric kettle is the kitchen appliance I never knew I needed. Not only does it quickly boil water on command for cups of tea, but it has many additional uses.
The water comes to a boil much faster than on the stove. So, if I am in a hurry, I will boil the water in our electric kettle and then pour it into a pot when I am cooking pasta, rice, cous cous, or quinoa. I use it all the time when I am cooking my Easy Caprese Pasta Salad.
Egg Cooker
My final essential kitchen appliance is a DASH Deluxe Rapid Egg Cooker. This egg cooker has been a lifesaver on so many occasions!
Eggs are something that I cook non-stop all year, especially during the holidays when I have a house full of relatives. My egg cooker has cut down my "hands on" time when making my Deviled Eggs, Angeled Eggs, Breakfast Tacos, not to mention just plain scrambled eggs, poached eggs, and omelets!
I hope my list has helped you begin your holiday shopping this season. Happy holidays!
